My evening... day... whatever else comes to mind

So here I am doing biology homework. Well actually I'm writing a blog... but you know what I mean. This evening, I'm going to work on biology homework haha, and maybe do cardio workout at the gym. But I'm not sure about that part. I don't really feel like it right now... but that's probably a sign that I should do it (being the typical fat American that I am)

Ok new topic. Today is the 30th anniversary of Miracle on Ice. For those who don't know, that was the time that the USA beat the USSR in the semifinals of the winter olympics in 1980. It was big stuff, being in the middle of the Cold War, and the Soviets having a seemingly unbeatable team. But the US won, and it's still remembered today (maybe because of the movies made about it). When I hear these stories, it makes me well up inside with patriotism. I'm so proud to be an american, part of a country who stood up to dictators and the spread of communism, who wouldn't back down despite nuclear threats and long, hard times where no progress was made. I'm so proud.

In less than two weeks I'm going to Borneo to do evangelistic meetings! I'm so excited to get out of N. America for the first time since summer of 07. I know God is going to bless, and I'm excited to be about his business.

Beside me here is a bag of my mom's famous, amazing, better-than-Brad's mom's, craved for by Luke, and loved by all,...... GRANOLA!!!!! I've been saving it for the trip to Sabah, because I know when I went to India with my dad, my mom sent granola along and it was so wonderful. But I'm seeing my parents again this weekend and mom's bringing more granola !!!! SOOOO I might eat a bowl tomorrow morning.

So I shall go back to Bio. INtereresting fact - the lack of the enzyme, uric acid oxitose, is what causes Gout, because the body can't break down the build-up of Uric acid.
